Clozapine is a tricyclic dibenzodiazepine used for symptomatic management of Schizophrenia or Schizoeffective disorders specially at risk for recurrent suicidal behaviour. Some patients on thie drug are at a significant resk of Agranulocytosis. The assay is useful for monitoring patient compliance and as an aid to achieving desired plasma levels.
